What is the Annual Fund

The Annual Fund is a tax-deductible opportunity for parents, alumni, grandparents, past parents, and friends to support outstanding teaching and learning--what takes place in our classrooms every day.

Each year, we appeal to all members of the RA community to make an investment in the Academy's current students with a gift to the Annual Fund. Revenue from the Annual Fund is generally unrestricted and is used to fund current operations based on the areas of greatest need.

Gifts to the Annual Fund make goals and projects such as the following possible:

  • Challenging and innovative academic, athletic, and arts programs
  • Enhanced science and technology programs and facilities
  • Recruitment of highly talented faculty by offering competitive salaries, benefit packages, and opportunities for professional development
  • Small class sizes designed to enable teachers to offer more individualized attention to each student

Your participation--not the size of your gift--is what is most important. Depending on individual financial circumstances, contributions range from $5 to $20,000 or more. A high rate of participation is an important measure of the breadth of concern and involvement by the RA community, and decisions by foundations and corporations to fund non-profit organizations such as RA are positively influenced by strong, broad support. We ask that every member of the RA community give as generously as possible within his or her means, and we need and appreciate gifts of every amount.

Ridgefield Academy adheres to the Council for Advancement and Support of Education's (CASE) Statement of Ethics and Donor Bill of Rights.
