What's new at Landmark...

Family Ice Skating Party
Please join us for our Family Ice Skating Party on Wednesday, February 10th from 6-7PM at the rink at Longshore in Westport. The cost is $15/family and includes skate rental. Equipment to help little learners on the ice is available at no additional charge. This is always a nice event for our families, so bundle up and come join us! A form was sent home in your child’s folder, or you can RSVP to Rebecca at rtoon@landmarkpreschool.org.

For information about the facility or directions to the rink, please go to their website: PAL Rink .  In the event of snow, the party will be held if the rink is open, if the rink is closed we will re-schedule and refund your money if you are not able to attend the new date. The number for the rink is 203-226-7465

Thank You!

Last Thursday and Friday we celebrated the Super Bowl with jerseys and a big soup collection! We collected 321 cans of soup!  Thank you to Mrs. Ludlow’s Fives students for counting them for us! All items collected will go to the Connecticut Food Bank. Special thanks to Danielle Montanaro for volunteering to deliver them to the Food Bank for us!

Spring Break Camp

Looking for something fun to do for spring break? We have great news! For the first time ever we will be offering a fun-filled camp for spring break for children in our Threes through Kindergarten. The week of March 15th our theme will be "Spanish Fun."  The week of March 22nd our theme will be "Creative Arts & Drama."  Camp will be led by Mrs. De Andrade who has taught Spanish, music and also runs a popular children’s summer theater program.  A flyer and registration form will be going home in your child’s folder.

Save the Date!

Our Auction Committee is hard at work planning this year’s event, which will be Saturday, May 8th at the Lillian August showroom on Knight Street in Norwalk. Our theme is the 70’s era Studio 54 disco, so start looking for those platform shoes! Our auction chairs are Missy Zahler, Shannon Whipple and Medha Thomas. If you would like to be involved in the auction, they would love to hear from you! Please email Missy at mazyto1@yahoo.com , Shannon at shannonmwhipple@aol.com and Medha at medha311@gmail.com

Our auction this year will be focused again on continuing the technology improvements begun last year. We have added new computers, a projector, purchased software, and cameras, and will be installing two smart boards designed specifically for use in early childhood learning environments in our Fives and Kindergarten classrooms in February. Our teachers are excited about the ways they can use these new tools to enhance learning for our students, and we are excited to continue the momentum next year. Thank you for the many enthusiastic responses we have already received, we greatly appreciate your support!

St Baldrick’s Day – March 6th
