RA Third Grade Production of

Thank You to Ridgefield Academy’s Third Grade!
This morning we enjoyed a presentation of their class play, “The Scrambled States of America”, a fun and funny geography lesson for our Fours, Fives and Kindergarten students. Special thanks to Ridgefield Academy’s drama teacher Miss Pambianchi and her students, including many Landmark Alumni, for an entertaining and informative morning!

Haitian Earthquake Relief
Our shipment of wristbands for our Haitian relief project was delayed, we hope to have them by the end of the week, thanks to all who have inquired, we appreciate your enthusiasm for this project!

“Souper Bowl” Feb 4th & 5th
As the day of the big game approaches, we will be taking advantage of this opportunity to once again reach out to those in our community who may need a helping hand. This time the theme is soup. Each classroom will have a collection box, and children are asked to bring a can (or more if you like) of soup. We will donate all soup to the Connecticut Food Bank, which distributes supplies throughout our region. The children will use the cans of soup in class for some math activities before we send them on their way, counting, sorting, etc…. So we can learn all about what kind of soup our friends and teachers like to eat. To add to the fun, on the 4th & the 5th the children are encouraged to wear sports jerseys (football or any other sport). We are looking for volunteers to help us deliver the soup to the Food Bank, if you can help please contact Siobhan Streams at sstreams@landmarkpreschool.org

Save the Date
Our annual auction will once again be held at the Lillian August showroom on Knight Street in South Norwalk on Saturday, May 8th from 7:00 – 11:00. Please email her at mazyto1@yahoo.com or call her at 203-557-3175.

Family Ice Skating Party
Gather the kids and join us at the ice rink at Longshore for an evening of family fun on Wednesday, February 10th from 6:00-7:00 PM. The cost is $20/family, and skates may be rented at the rink. Please RSVP to Rebecca, at rtoon@landmarkpreschool.org checks should be made payable to Ridgefield Academy.

St. Baldrick’s Day
If you would like to help out, participate, or sponsor a shavee in this year’s St Baldrick’s Day event, March 6th at Harbor Yard, go to www.teambrent.com , or speak with Dana McCreesh, mom of Kira and the driving force behind this event. All of the Sound Tigers will be shaving, and past Landmark shavees have included, Mrs. Ludlow’s husband Mark and son Max, and Mrs. Brito’s husband Kevin, as well as many of Brent’s Landmark classmates and friends.
