Lady Patriots Play Hard; Suffer Loss to Greens Farm Academy
	The Ridgefield Academy Girls Softball team played hard against Greens Farm Academy, coming up short with a final score of 7-11. The Lady Patriots’ bats were on fire as Sophie McLaughlin, Karyn Bartosc, Lindy Burke and Marlo Trainor all hit line-drive singles, while Roxane Chopin and Sarah Cox both hit doubles. Defensively for RA, Rebecca Taylor caught a line drive and threw it to first making a double play. On the mound, the seventh grade tandem of Rebecca Levenson and Lindy Burke each threw 87 and 47 pitches respectively.

	Girls Show Spirit in Season Opener
	The Ridgefield Academy's Girls Softball team showed great spirit in their first game of the season against Rye Country Day School. In her first appearance on the mound, Lindy Burke struck out three RCDS batters. Defensively for the RA Diamond Girls, Sophie McLaughlin and Rebecca Taylor turned a double play, while Sarah Cox made an exciting catch on a frozen rope at short stop. Offensively for RA, Rebecca Levenson had some very strong hits!  The Lady Patriots are back on the diamond on Thursday, April 19th against Whitby at 3:45pm.
