Toy/Coat Drive
This year Landmark will be hosting a Toy and Coat Drive. We are asking for your help in bringing some joy this holiday season to some local children in need. Your donations will go to the following organizations: Kids in Crisis, the Norwalk Emergency Shelter and Family and Children Aid. Please look for bins located outside the Main Office, Three’s Classrooms and Four’s Classrooms from Wednesday, December 8th – Wednesday, December 15th. Thank you in advance for your time and generosity during this busy holiday season.
Perfect Holiday Shopping Outing
On Tuesday, December 7th, Landmark Preschool and Ridgefield Academy have partnered with J.Crew for a private holiday shopping event at J.Crew in Westport! This is an invite only event and perfect for holiday shopping. Some light holiday refreshments will be provided and children are welcome to tagalong. J.Crew will also be offering a discount towards all purchases.
Fours Classroom Tours!
Please join Ann Hirsch and Kim McElderry for an overview and tour of the Fours classrooms on Tuesday, December 7th or Wednesday, December 8th at 9:00 am, parents of current Threes students are asked to meet in our After-care room located on the upper level adjacent to the Fours classes. This is a wonderful opportunity to see our fantastic Fours students in action, along with their wonderful head teachers, Mrs. Bollaro, Mrs. D'Onofrio, Mrs. Maloney, and their awesome assistant teachers, Mrs. Schuyler, Mrs. Heege, Mrs. Peckham, Mrs. LaBarbera, and Mrs. Tangney!
Ridgefield Academy Open House
This Friday, December 10th our current Fours and Fives families are invited to learn more about K-8 private school education at Ridgefield Academy and visit their Foundation classrooms as your prepare for next year. Please respond to LMattson@RidgefieldAcademy.org if you plan to attend.
Did Someone Say Winter Camp?
You heard it here first, we are currently offering a Vacation Camp in December for your child from Monday, December 20th through Thursday, December 23rd from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm! Forms were sent home in backpacks so if you are interested, please be sure to fill it out and turn it into your child's teacher or Main Office no later than this Friday, December 10th.

Author Visit
Jane Turner, author of the newly published children's book, "The Dog Who Went to Main Street " will be visiting our Fours and Fives students on Monday, December 13th. This story features the adventures of the family pet, Zona, who wanders from home and visits her favorite shops and cafes in Ridgefield. Jane wrote this story for her daughter, Cory, a former Landmark and Ridgefield Academy student!
We will have signed copies of the books for sale for $20 if you are interested in purchasing them the day of the visit. Checks should be made out to Morris Media Group and a portion of alll proceeds goes to ROAR.
A Message from the Admissions
Re-enrollment agreements were sent to all families currently enrolled in our Twos and Threes as well as any siblings we have received applications for over the Thanksgiving break. Families currently in our Fours program must contact our Director of Admissions, Kim McElderry ( KMcElderry@landmarkpreschool.org) to receive a Fives re-enrollment agreement if they have not already done so. Contracts for new families were mailed out this week, so please be sure and take advantage of your in-house status before time runs out! If you have any questions, please contact Kim McElderry.
Afterschool Clubs for 2011! Starting the second week in January, once again Mandarin Chinese and Martial Arts will be offered! To beat the registration rush, you can print out the flyer here and bring it in the completed form to the Main Office. | |
