Patriot Camp (Preschool - Grade 3)
	Ridgefield Academy's Patriots Camp  is designed to integrate physical activity and educational opportunities.   Campers will participate in daily sports instruction as well as a wide variety of games and activities, outdoor excursions, wet and wacky water activities, and various revolving class offerings.   Each week, campers will have the opportunity to participate in activities centered on the camp’s weekly themes. 	Hours, Cost, and Schedule
	Camp Hours: 9:00am – 3:00pm Beforecare begins at 8:00am & Aftercare runs until 4:00pm daily Cost:  Weeks 1, 2, 4, 5 & 6 are $425 per week; Week 3 is $340 (no camp on 4th of July) Campers are also welcome to join us on a per diem basis at $85 per day Beforecare = $50.00 per week; Aftercare = $50.00 per week  Patriot Camper Schedule 8:00 - 9:00am Beforecare (extra fee applies) 9:00 - 9:30am Welcome (Arrival, Attendance, Agenda) 9:30 - 10:30am Revolving Themed Activity 10:30 - 10:45am SNACK 10:45 - 11:45am Revolving Themed Activity 11:50 - 12:20pm LUNCH 12:30 - 1:30pm Outdoor Activities 1:30 - 2:30pm Water Fun (Water Slide) 2:45 - 3:00pm Dismissal 3:00 - 4:00pm Aftercare (extra fee applies) Revolving Themed Activities are based on the weekly theme and will include technology, crafts, cooking, nature, as well as sports and games. Each week will incorporate either an off-campus field trip or an in-house, hands-on workshop to follow our theme. On Friday of each week at 2:30 pm, there will be a special Patriots Pep Rally Presentation to showcase our campers' learning from the week. We take pride in our campers’ talents. All parents are welcome to attend.

	Weekly Themes
	Week 1 (June 18–22): Lights, Camera, Action! Get ready as we roll out the red carpet for some Hollywood Fun! Campers will get a glimpse of some behind the scens work as we put on our own version of RA Idol - including singing, dancing, and acting!  America, the votes are in and yes you, are the next RA Idol.   Week 2 (June 25-29): Commotion in the Ocean Take a deep breath and dive right into this week's underwater theme.  Campers will take a field trip to the Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk where they will get their hands wet and explore the wonders under the sea.   Week 3 (July 2-6; no camp Wed, July): Wild, Wild West Sharpen your spurs and coil your lariats, 'cause we're headed to the Wild West for a week of riding, roping and all kinds of Western Fun.  YEE HAW! Campers will also explore the culture of the Native American Indians!   Week 4 (July 9-13): Jammin' in the Jungle It's a jungle out there!  Get ready for a roaring fun time as we learn about the wild kingdom and explore life in the jungle!  We will even take an adventure trip to the Beardsley Zoo!  Animal games and activities will ensure that our campers have a WILD good time!   Week 5 (July 16-20): Under the Big Top Everyone loves the excitement of a circus.  Now campers have a chance to be the performers!  This circus inspired week will include tumbling, juggling, balancing, flipping, clowning and of course, giggling.   Week 6 (July 23-27): Olympics Go for the Gold!  Athletes from all over the world will converge on top of West Mountain to compete in the 2012 Patriot Games.  From the opening ceremonies to the closing ceremonies, campers will be challenged with pure fun!  Campers will also travel to a Bridgeport Bluefish baseball game for an afternoon of America's favorite pastime!
