A Note from our Director, Ann Hirsch
I would like to take a moment to welcome all of our families to a new school year at Landmark Preschool. It has been a pleasure meeting you and your children during our Visitation Days. As you are getting accustomed to our program, please know that we are happy to answer any questions you may have. I am looking forward to another wonderful year together!
What I Did On My Summer Vacation!!!!
Our Landmark Summer Camp was a huge hit with our campers! Each themed week was full of different activities and lots of water play. We played games, cooked, had a treasure hunt and got to visit with some really interesting creatures from the Beardsley Zoo, just to name a few. Over 80 of our Landmark friends joined in our summer camp fun. Hope to see you all and some new friends next summer!!!

Parents Night
We are looking forward to seeing you at Parents Orientation on Wednesday, September 14th, for parents of students in our Threes program and on Thursday, September 15th for parents of students in our Fours and Fives programs. This is a wonderful opportunity to hear from your child's teacher about the exciting activities your children will be experiencing this year. If you have a conflict, please speak directly with your child's teacher. Parking is available on both levels. The evening will begin at 7:00 pm in our Recreation Room, located on the lower level adjacent to the Threes playground where you will hear from all of our Specialists. Then, you will move on to your child's classroom at approximately 7:20 pm for Head Teacher presentations. We look forward to seeing all of you!
Coffee Hour for Twos Parents
Please join Director, Ann Hirsch on either Monday, September 19th or Tuesday, September 20th at 9:15 am for coffee and answers to all your questions about our Twos program. This event will be held in our After Care classroom on the upper level of campus. This is a great opportunity to meet the other parents in your Child's classroom and learn more about the program!
Peanut/Tree Nut Aware School
Many students enrolled in our program have allergies to peanuts/tree nuts and we are asking parents to refrain from bringing in products containing peanuts or tree nuts to school. In the Main Office, there is a list of alternative foods to help you choose lunches and snacks that will keep all of our students safe and healthy.
Before-Care/After-Care Program
You must be a registered user to utilize either the Before Care or After Care program and registration forms are available in our Main Office. Our Before Care program begins at 7:45 am and is located in Mrs. Santini's classroom adjacent to our Main Office. The After Care program begins right after your child's school day ends and is available until 5:30 pm. This program is located in the last classroom on the upper level of our campus. A late fee will be incurred for children not picked up by 5:30 pm. Please call Sue in the Main Office with any questions or if you would like to use this service.
Drop-Off and Pick-Up Procedures
We will continue with our assisted morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up for our Three, Four, and Five year olds for the 2011/2012 school year. All Two year olds must be escorted into their classroom by a parent. In an effort to accommodate parking for the Two year old program, drop-off for this age group will begin after the Fours and Fives drop-off completion at 8:45 a.m. If you are a parent of a Three, Four, or Five-year-old arriving after 8:45 am, you will need to park in the parking space facing the classrooms and escort your child into his/her classroom.
Parents have been provided a namecard with your child's name that is color coded by teacher for the dashboard of your vehicle and should be displayed at all times. Please refer to your Parent/Student Handbook for your designated drop-off and pick-up times and any other questions you may have.
In an effort to keep our campus safe, please be mindful of the following:
- If you plan to come in and pick-up your child, kindly turn off your car and do not leave it idling.
- Please make note of the entrances and exits, as both driveways are one-way.
- For everyone's safety, please drive slowly when in the parking lot.
