2011-2012 School Calendar Get off to a great new start this school year and print out our calendar to keep up to date with important Landmark events and holidays! Simply click on this link to access a calendar.
Wrapping Paper Fundraiser We need your help! Support our School by using the Innisbrook Gift Wrap Fundraiser to buy gifts and paper that you'll use throughout the year! Our school receives 50% of the gross sales proceeds (on catalog items) and this money is used for things such as ongoing teacher development and campus improvements. Hopefully, you will find a variety of items not only for yourself, but also for a hostess gift, a holiday gift for the bus driver, or a gift for a special teacher. You can also tell others about our fundraiser. Send emails to family and friends. All this can be done online, after you log onto your account or after you sign up and register. Our school code is 102952. Don't forget to register your child, so they will received credit for prizes. And DON'T FORGET to get your order in, before the deadline of Friday, September 30th! With your help, we're looking forward to our best fundraiser ever! Please feel free to contact Tammy Roberts at troberts@emailcorner.net if you have any questions.
The packets containing all of the information about our wrapping paper fundraising were sent home in your child's backpack last week. If you do not have one, we have a few extra packets available in the main office.
School Reach Emergency Announcement System
In our efforts to improve communications between parents and school, we will be instituting again this year a telephone broadcast system that will enable school personnel to notify all households and parents by phone for school closing and delays, as well as emergency or unplanned events that cause early dismissal, school cancellation, or late start. This service is provided by SchoolReach, which specializes in school-to-parent communications. In preparation for the upcoming winter, we will be launching a test of the SchoolReach system on Saturday, October 1st. The SchoolReach system will call all phone numbers that were listed for your household on the Pink form that was included in our August mailing. If the pink form has not been returned to us yet, the system will dial all of the numbers that we have on file in our database. The testing of the system will begin at approximately noon on Saturday and will continue until each phone number provided has been reached. If you decide to add or change a number please contact Sue in the Main office at 203-544-8393 or by email, scahalan@landmarkpreschool.org. Please note that the SchoolReach system is automated and no one will actually be in the Landmark office over the weekend to answer questions or make any changes to phone numbers. Therefore, please wait until Monday, October 3rd to call in with any changes. Thank you in advance for your patience while we test this very important system!
Landmark Hot Lunch
The sign up form for our Hot Lunch program is coming home today(9/26) via backpack. Again we are offering pizza on Tuesdays and pasta on Fridays. You may sign your child up for either Tuesday or Friday or for both days. Please complete the form and return it to your child's teacher with a check made payable to Ridgefield Academy. The program will begin next week on Tuesday, October 4th. Mmmmmmm...Mmmmmmmm........Yummy!! | |
| After School Clubs | | | | | | | | Most of our Fall After School Clubs start this week. For anyone interested, there are still openings in Mandarin Club on Wednesday afternoons and the Thursday session of Martial Arts. If you would like to sign up for any of these Clubs, please click below for our registration form. Children that are registered for a club will be walked to their appropriate club classroom by his or her teacher. The pick-up time for all clubs will be no later than 3:15 pm at either the Recreation Room for Martial Arts or the "Fun For Ones" room for Mandarin Chinese or the Art Club. For any parent that is late, the child will be signed into After-Care and billed as such. If your child is already a registered regular user, the child will be escorted to the After-Care room following the club. Please note that with the exception of a weather related and/or other emergency cancellation of school or the specific club there will be no make-up sessions given. Please plan your childs schedule accordingly so that he/she can attend the club sessions as registered.
On Monday, September 26th, Art Club will begin in the "Fun for Ones" room on the lower level. Your child should be dressed in comfortable clothes for art activities. There will be no class held on Monday, October 10th due to the Columbus Day holiday.
On Tuesday, September 27th, Martial Arts call will be held in the Recreation room located on the lower level. Please provide your children with comfortable clothes that allow your child freedom of movement(ie: shorts, sweatpants, t-shirt, etc.).
Due to the Rosh Hashanah holiday, the first Thursday session of Martial Arts will be held on Thursday, October, 6th.
On Wednesday, September 28th, Mandarin Club will be held in the Fun For Ones room on the lower level. This club will not be held on Wednesday, November 9th or Wednesday, November 23rd.
