This year, we will once again be participating in the "Coats for Kids" winter coat drive. Through December 16th, we will be collecting coats of all sizes which will then be taken to State Cleaners where they will be cleaned and distributed to families in need. Please drop off your new and gently worn coats in the box located below the community calendar. Thank you for your generosity!
Mandarin Club - Rescheduled
The Mandarin Club originally scheduled for November 22nd has been rescheduled to December 13th.
Important Information Regarding our Fives and K Program
Following our Parent Teacher Conferences we met with many of you at our “Next Step Coffee” and have had the opportunity to engage in a very thoughtful and productive dialogue with our families. The information and insights you have shared with us have led us to conclude that the needs of our families will be best served by the hybrid program we spoke of. This program will be called Fundamentals and will combine the best elements of both our current Fives and our current Kindergarten programs to offer a highly personalized learning experience for your child.
The age cut-off for this program is December 31st and we will offer an excellent six-to-one teacher-to-student ratio that will allow us to differentiate instruction, and is sure to meet the developmental needs of each child.
In this enriched and engaging program, children will experience the excitement of new challenges as they explore in-depth a curriculum which offers stimulating and fun material and concepts in a supportive hands-on environment. At the same time, children have the comfort of a small, nurturing classroom that promotes confidence building. The length of the day also allows for plenty of time to play and socialize. For your convenience, we’ve attached with this email an overview of the curriculum.
In order to request an enrollment agreement be extended to your child, please contact Kim McElderry by email at kmcelderry@landmarkpreschool.org or by phone (203)544-8393.
The deadline to return the enrollment agreement and deposit is January 6. In order to offer the program next school year, we will need a minimum of ten students enrolled by this deadline. You will be notified the following week if the program is not offered and all of the deposits will be fully refunded.
Re-Enrollment Agreements
Re-enrollment agreements for students in our 2s and 3s will be mailed out on December 16th. Sibling agreements, as well as agreements for those in our Fun for Ones program, will also go out at this time. Please note that sibling agreements and agreements for those in our Ones program will be sent only if you have submitted an application for our 2s program. If you are interested in receiving a contract but have not submitted an application, please contact Kim McElderry by email kmcelderry@landmarkpreschool or by phone at (203)544-8393.
