A Note From the Admissions Director
As we head into the holidays, re-enrollment agreements will be arriving via the mail. If you have not yet requested a contract for our Fives program or for a sibling of a current Landmark student, please contact Kim McElderry.
Parents Coffee Meet & Greet!
It is never too early to begin thinking about next year. Please join Ann Hirsch and Kim McElderry for some coffee and an overview and tour of each grades individual Programs curriculum. Each age is held on a particular day so be sure to come and check out what's next for your child. We hope to see you there!
On Tuesday, December 6th at 9:15 am, parents of current Two's students are asked to meet in our Fun For Ones room at 9:15 am, located on the lower level adjacent to the Threes classes. This is a wonderful opportunity to see our fantastic Threes students in action, along with their wonderful head teachers, Ms. Booth and Mrs. Mungavin, and their awesome assistant teachers, Mrs. Franzino, Mrs. Scott, Mrs. Yacko and Mrs. Rivoli.
On Wednesday, December 7th at 9:00 am, parents of current Threes students are welcomed to our After Care room located on the upper level adjacent to the Fours classes. This is a great opportunity to see our terrific Fours students in action, along with their wonderful head teachers, Mrs. D'Onofrio, Mrs. Maloney and Mrs. Bollaro and their great assistant teachers, Mrs. Schuyler, Mrs. Maher, Mrs. Peckham, Ms. Malik, and Ms.Wegner and Mrs. LaBarbera.
Annual Fund Kick Off Party
Friday evenings event was absolutely lovely! Thank you to all of our families that attended! A very special thank you to the Social Committee for making this an especially festive event. This great evening included food and wine selections from Terra Sole, No. 109 Cheese and Cellar XV. Thank you to all!
Holiday Cookie Exchange
Save the Date!!!! Landmark will be holding a Holiday Cookie exchange on Thursday December 15th from 10-12:30 pm in the Gymnasium. All are welcome to participate with an RSVP to Anna Nowak at Lionspaw06877@yahoo.com. We kindly ask to keep all cookies nut free and all are welcome to bring 1-3 plates/trays to exchange. Ribbons and wraps will be provided along with some refreshments while you exchange and create your own cookie assortment. Please bring your own plates,trays and cookie tins to the exchange. This will be a fun and festive gathering before the Holidays and we look forward to seeing you! Please contact Anna with any questions you may have about recipes etc.
Fall Afterschool Clubs
Our Fall Clubs are finishing up for the season. The last day of the Tuesday session of Martial Arts will be December 13th. The Thursday session of Martial Arts will now end next week on December 15th due to the canceled session on Dec. 1st. Mandarin Club will end on Wednesday, December 7th. Social Committee Coat and Toy Drive
We will be simulanteously running two very special collections, a Toys for Tots drive (brand-new unwrapped toys), and a gently-used winter clothing drive (coats, sweaters, mittens, etc...). If you would like to participate in either or both drives, please bring your contributions to school starting on Monday, December 5th. We invite you to join us in helping to make the season bright for local families who are in need during the holidays!
December Vacation Club
We will be running our popular Vacation Club from Monday, December 19th thru Wednesday, December 21st. The club will run from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm. Registration forms are being sent home via backpack or you can print one out at home by clicking here.
Winter After School Clubs
Get ready for the winter sessions of our popular after school clubs. We are offering Martial Arts(Tuesday or Thursday session), Mandarin Chinese(Wednesdays) and Art Club on Mondays. The Art Club will have a maximum class size of 10 and preference will be given to those who were closed out of the Fall session. Do not delay in returning your registration forms as sign up is on a first come, first serve basis. To print the registration form and return it to school, click here.

Mrs. Mungavin was the Guest Reader in Mrs. D'Onofrio's Fours classroom!
Mrs. Bollaro's Fours students were very attentive listeners while visiting Stew Leonards last week.
Mrs. D'Onofrio, Mrs. LaBarbera and their Fours students take a much needed rest around Santa's Chair after their busy trip to Stew Leonards. Santa must have been doing some shopping!

Gingerbread Holiday Brunch
The Weston Womens League is sponsoring a Gingerbread Holiday Brunch on Saturday, December 10th from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Weston Intermediate School Cafetorium. This event will benefit The Weston Warm-up Fund & The Children's Connection. There will be Gingerbread House decorating and contests, delicious food, Holiday photos, crafts and more! Fleur de Lis Academy
Fleur de Lis Academy is having its annual Hurray for the Holiday Production next weekend, Saturday, December 19th at 11:30 a.m. at the Little Theater, Wilton High School, featuring traditional nutcracker scenes, original holiday dances & Dancing Daddy Santas! Previous guests of this show always comment, “it is the sweetest little show to kick-off the holiday season!” Tickets include holiday refreshments after the show. Help for When Your Child is Struggling Socially
When a child struggles socially it can be difficult for parents to know how to help. Come to this workshop to find out about common social issues and what can be done to address them, both at home and in other settings. Barbara Cooper, LMHC and Nancy Widdows, LPC of SuperKids will bring their years of experience working with socially challenged children, teens and young adults to help parents understand and address social thinking deficits.
**Tuesday, January 10th - 7:00pm (snow date: Thursday, 1/12/12) Helping Your Worried Child - Got a little worrier at home?
This presentation will focus on ways to help decrease your child's anxiety. It will give strategies for lessening worries and conquering fears. It will also discuss ways of simplifying at home to help raise a confident self-assured child. Presented by Lauren Wolfe, M.S., N.C.C.
