What's New at Landmark...

Thanksgiving Celebrations!

Don't forget, our Scholastic Book Fair will be held tomorrow, December 1st.  Stop in during drop-off, pick-up or anytime in between to do a bit of shopping...books make GREAT holiday gifts and stocking stuffers!

Next Steps Coffees

On Friday, December 9th at 9:15am, we will be holding our third and final informational coffees to help our current 2s Landmark families learn more about the next step in their child's academic journey.  During this coffee, head teachers from our 3s program will be on hand to discuss curriculum and answer any questions you may have.  Families will then have an opportunity to tour the classrooms.  Please note, this coffee is for our current Landmark families.  Families who are interested in joining the Landmark community should contact Kim McElderry for more information on our upcoming Open Houses.

And Mom & Dad Can Hardly Wait For School To Start Again...

Yes, folks, it's "Beginning to look a lot like Christmas" indeed, and if you're in need of some extra time to mark those last few items off your to-do list, then you'll love what we have in store for your child here at Landmark!

Ones Fun Teacher, Dr. Mia Mercurio-Morse, known to Landmark as “Ms. Mia,” has planned two weeks of fun and entertainment for children in our Threes through Kindergarten programs.

Each day will include art, story time, indoor playtime, outdoor play (weather-permitting) or gym time, and creative movement. Your little one will be happy and busy, and you can relax knowing your child is in a safe, familiar environment.

Our theme will be ”Winter Wonderland”
  • Session 1: December 19, 20 and 21
  • Session 2: December 27, 28 and 29
  • Register for one week or both!
  • Club hours are from 9:00 – 2:00.
  • No Before Care or After Care will be offered
  • Cost is $230/per child/per week and includes all supplies and materials.
  • A limited number of spots are available; registrations will be accepted in the order in which they are received.
  • We must have 10 children to run the camp each week.

A flyer and registration was sent home with your child.  If you would like another, please contact Fran Scippa (fscippa@landmarkpreschool.org).

Winter Weather Reminder

Given the early onset of cooler weather (and snow!) we'd like to offer you a few reminders as winter approaches:
  • Please provide a fresh set of weather appropriate clothing in your child's cubby; including socks and shoes.
  • Make sure all coats, mittens, scarves and hats are marked with your child's name.
  • Dress your child each day as if they will go outside, if even for just a few moments.  We make every effort to include a bit of outdoor activity in each day as the temperature allows.
  • As winter weather arrives, so do winter colds and flu.  Please refer to the handbook guidelines when your child is ill.

Thank YOU!

A special note of thanks to the LPA and Astrid Weissman for providing the delicious teacher appreciation lunch this month, it was greatly appreciated and enjoyed!

Thank you also to those who took down our fall pumpkin patch: Amy Lopatin, Malina Malkani, Missy Zahler and Chrissy Toeplitz

Photo Retakes

If your child was absent or just not quite ready for his/her close-up on picture day and you would like to try again, please contact Fran Scippa (fscippa@landmarkpreschool.org) in the main office and we'll add your name to our list of "Retakes." Our Retake date will be announced soon, so watch this space!
