	General Announcements



	A Note From the Admissions Director Happy New Year to all! As we welcome the new year, I'd like to remind you that we have now opened enrollment to new families. If you have not returned your enrollment agreement and deposit for next year, please do so as soon as possible to ensure that your first choice of schedule will be available. If you have any questions or would like to discuss your options for next year, please contact me by phone or at KMcElderry@LandmarkPreschool.org. It is great to see all your children's smiling faces back at school again! Social Committee Request The Social Committe is looking for Volunteers to join them in planning new and fun events for our parents to take part in with their children. If you have some interesting and fun ideas please contact Michele Olbrys at micheleolbrys@hotmail.com. School Reach Communications We are most pleased that we have begun the new year without having to use our School Reach Communication system to delay or cancel school due to inclement weather! Although we hope that this fine weather pattern continues, we do want to be prepared in the event Mother Nature decides to mix it up a bit. If you have changed any of your telephone numbers since the start of the school year please contact the main office so that the database can be updated or email Sue Cahalan at scahalan@landmarkpreschool.org. Picture Re-Take Day Our photographer from Skylight Studios will be on campus on Thursday, January 12th to take pictures of any students who missed having their picture taken due to an absence on Picture Day last Fall or perhaps just recently joined us. He will also do "re-takes" for anyone who would prefer to have their childs picture re-taken. If you would like to have your childs photo re-taken please return your original photo package to school on Thursday the 12th.

	These little ones were a big help dropping off the toys collected from the Annual Toy Drive just before Holiday break. Thank you Landmark Families for your generosity! Having fun with beads in Mrs. Maloneys Fours classroom. Our first week back at school after Holiday break was full of friends and fun! The Two Year Olds in Mrs. Santini's Class enjoyed bundling up for some playground fun!

	Dr. Roseann Capanna-Hodge, LLC Workshops and Events ( Special Consultant to the Ridgefield Academy campuses) FREE UPCOMING WORKSHOPS Tuesday, January 10th - 7:00pm (snow date: Thursday, 1/12/12) Helping Your Worried Child - Got a little worrier at home? This presentation will focus on ways to help decrease your child's anxiety. It will give strategies for lessening worries and conquering fears. It will also discuss ways of simplifying at home to help raise a confident self-assured child. Presented by Lauren Wolfe, M.S., N.C.C. Tuesday, January 24th - 7:00pm(snow date: Thursday, 1/26/12) Rewiring the Brain: What is Neurofeedback? Neurofeedback therapy is a safe, non-medication treatment for common childhood and adult issues and disorders, including ADHD, Autism, Anxiety, Learning Issues, Social Issues, Sports-Related Concussion, Headache, Mood Issues, and other issues. Come learn how it works, and how it could benefit you or your child. Dr. Roseann Capanna-Hodge, Ed.D., LPC, Educational Psychologist and Neurofeedback Practitioner will present. All workshops are held at the offices of Dr. Roseann Capanna-Hodge 898 Ethan Allen Hwy, Suite 4, Ridgefield, CT 06877 Registration is not required but seating is limited.
