A Message From the Director, Ann Hirsch
We are wrapping up re-enrollment for the 2012-2013 school year. There are a few of you we are still waiting to hear from and to avoid unnecessary disappointment on not getting your first choice of schedule or perhaps being placed on a waitlist, we need you to return your contract quickly.
Although we expect all of our current students to return to us for the next school year- we know, sadly, some friends occasionally move on, but we need to know this information. Please contact our Director of Admissions, Kim McElderry, with this information and she will forward the necessary exit paperwork.
Annual Fund
Don't forget your 2011-2012 annual fund pledges. Your gifts help us improve our classrooms and campus so we can be the best preschool ever!

The Neighborhood Safety Network
This week the Neighborhood Safety Network shares a tip on the importance of wearing a helmet when biking, scootering or skateboarding.
Head Over Heels – Wear Your Helmet!
A head injury can quickly turn a fun outing into a disaster. Bicycles, scooters, skateboards, winter activities like skiing and snowboarding and other activities can be potentially dangerous. According to CPSC’s 2004 estimates, bicyclists received about 151,000 head injuries that were treated in U.S. hospital emergency rooms. Skateboarders visited hospital emergency rooms with about 18,000 head injuries. Many of these injuries could have been prevented through proper helmet usage. Wearing a bicycle helmet while biking, for example, can reduce your risk of head injury by 85 percent, and reduce the risk of brain injury by 88 percent, according to a study published in the New England Journal of Medicine. There are different helmets for different activities. Be sure to wear a helmet that is appropriate for the activity.
