Looking for dynamic and diverse summer programs for your child this summer? Ridgefield Academy (RA) invites you to learn about their new Summer at the Academy offerings! From sports camps to science camps, to trip week…there is something for every child to enjoy! All programs are open to the public.

The summer kicks off on July 19 with a week of Camp Invention, a program that is sure to excite children who enjoy challenges and using creativity. This nationally recognized program emphasizes STEM, collaboration, creative problem solving, and entrepreneurship through innovation.

If your child is interested in sports, RA offers two one-week morning sports clinics in basketball and lacrosse. These clinics are geared to children in Grades 5-8, and will focus on teaching the fundamentals of each sport as well as important game strategy. Coach Carney is an outstanding and motivating coach who is well known in the Ridgefield Youth Sports leagues and will help your child gain the skills and confidence that he or she needs to excel in basketball or lacrosse.

If your child loves technology, the Innovation Center program in the afternoons will immerse him or her in technology and encourage creativity through technology. Whether your child is interested in video game design, robotics, 3D design and printing, movie creation, or creating a new product, there is something for every child’s imagination.

For our youngest campers, ages 3-4, RA offers Camp Landmark. This program purposely has a low camper-to-counselor ratio and runs for six weeks with each week having a different theme. You may sign up for one week or all six! Children participate in daily activities such as music, art, stories, indoor/outdoor play, technology, cooking/baking in our kitchen lab, and water activities.

Patriot Camp is designed for children entering Kindergarten through Grade 5 and combines physical activity with educational experiences. Similar to Camp Landmark, this six week program is divided into weekly themes that include activities such as off-campus trips, gardening, art, cooking, water activities, sports, and much more!
