AFTER SCHOOL ENRICHMENT CLUBS
Ridgefield Academy and Landmark Preschool are pleased to announce a number of After School Enrichment Club offerings. These clubs are open to the public and do fill quickly, so early registration is encouraged. Clubs are filled on a first come, first served basis. Registration forms appear at the end of each offering.

Please note that some club dates are not consecutive and may present a scheduling conflict with other RA after school events, trips and athletics. Every attempt was made to prevent this from occurring, but in certain circumstances, it was unavoidable. Club money will not be refunded in the event of these scheduling conflicts. Parents are encouraged to check the School and Athletic Calendars prior to filling out club registration forms. In addition, club refunds will only be granted up until the second club meeting date.

All questions regarding our enrichment clubs should be directed to Club Director, Donna Kauth by phone, 203.894.1800 x106 or by email, dkauth@ridgefieldacademy.org.

Please note, parents are responsible for entering their child’s club dismissal details in Veracross. Teachers, staff, and bus coordinators will all use this information to create dismissal and bus lists. The overarching concept is to have multiple layers of cross-checking so as to ensure a safe, timely, and accurate dismissal for every student, every day. Instructions on how to enter this information can be found here.

Tiny Feet Soccer

Tiny Feet Soccer is an innovative sports and exercise program providing young children with the opportunity to learn through play and exploration in a fun, age-appropriate, and friendly environment. Tiny Feet Soccer program provides many opportunities for young children to spend most of their time engaged in free play — running, jumping, chasing, and kicking. Our priority is to ensure that children have fun while participating in playful exercises, games, and activities in a pressure-free atmosphere while they learn the basics of soccer.

Our program objectives are as follows:
  • To introduce young children to soccer in a safe, inclusive and non- competitive environment.
  • Show young children that sport and physical activity are fun.
  • Develop and enhance age-appropriate gross motor skills, coordination and correct posture.
  • Teach the importance of good sportsmanship and teamwork.
  •
Designed for Kindergarten - Grade 2 students, this club is relatively fast paced and offers some challenging activities. Time is spent refining existing skills and there is an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of soccer. Coach Carney also hopes that by teaching fundamental lacrosse skills and teamwork, participants will be well prepared for the Patriot lacrosse team when they reach Upper School. Lacrosse is the fastest sport on two feet. Participants are guaranteed to have a blast while dodging, shooting, throwing and catching; in addition to playing the game. This club is open to boys and girls. Coach Carney will supply the equipment needed, but children can also bring their own lacrosse sticks.
