Summers At The Academy

Summers at Ridgefield Academy offer children ages 3 through 14 a variety of fun and engaging programs that have been created specifically with children in mind. Our beautiful 42-acre campus provides the perfect backdrop for nature exploration, soccer and lacrosse clinics on our turf field, rocketry, or sliding down our 15-foot water slide. Children can explore STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) challenges, rock band jams, cooking activities, science fun, and more in our state-of-the-art digital media center, gymnasium, indoor theater, music room, and kitchen facilities. Preschool-aged campers have their own age-appropriate water play area while older students enjoy swimming at a local pool to cool off during hot afternoons. Our staff, which is comprised of experienced educators, know what it means to have fun and infuse learning into every activity!

We offer summer activities for the following three distinct age groups:

Camp Landmark allows children ages 3 - 5 and their families to get glimpse of what goes on during the regular Landmark school year in a fun, condensed summer opportunity. Each week will comprise a different theme and runs from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm. For more information about Camp Landmark, we invite you to visit the Landmark Preschool website.

Patriot Camp is designed for children entering Kindergarten through Grade 5 and offers three exciting weeks of traditional day camp, including swimming, sports, cooking, science, technology, and games, and three of our most popular themed weeks; Trip Week, Science Week and Art Week. The camp day runs from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm with the option of extended care until 5:00 pm.

The Explorer Programs offer our oldest students (children entering Grades 5-8) the option to create their own schedule from a variety of interesting programs geared to challenge the mind and body. Morning and afternoon sessions offer great flexibility and challenge for older children who want to hone their soccer skills (Red Bull Soccer Academy) and/or lacrosse skills (Lone Wolf Lacrosse Camp), engage in STEAM challenges, jam out with our rock band group, explore rocketry, brush up on their math skills, explore cooking activities, or make a difference in the lives of others through our community service volunteer work. Two programs are offered each day, beginning at 9:00 am and concluding at 3:30 pm. Extended care allows campers to lengthen the day until 5:00 pm.

We look forward to sharing our program schedule with you in late January.
