Applying To Ridgefield Academy

You may request information about Ridgefield Academy by completing the online inquiry form, or by contacting David Suter, Associate Head of School & Director of Enrollment, by phone (203.894.1800 x112) or by email.

We invite you to take a tour of our campus, meet our students and faculty, and learn more about our academic programs during one of our Admissions Events. Additionally, we encourage you to schedule a private parent visit during which we can sit and talk about your child or children and what you are looking for in your next school. You may schedule your visit either before or after an application has been submitted by calling the Admission Office at 203.894.1800 x112.

For your convenience, Ridgefield Academy accepts either the multi-school Standard Application Online (SAO) or RA's individual admission application. The SAO simplifies the application process by allowing you to apply to multiple schools using a single application. Or, if you are applying only to RA, please complete the RA application for admission only.

Upon receipt of either of these applications, RA will invite your child to campus for a shadow day visit and interview with a member of the Admissions team.

While priority enrollment applications for the 2025-2026 year are due by January 15, applications for select grades where space remains available for 2024-2025 will be reviewed on a rolling basis. The rolling admissions timeline does not hinder a family's application to RA/LP when space is available.
 

Once the application has been submitted, supplemental materials such as transcripts and recommendations can also be uploaded to the portal. More information on this process can be found in the portal.

Applicants to grades 5-8 are required to submit either their SSAT or their ISEE scores from the current year. To register or find locations and testing dates, please visit either the SSAT or ISEE websites for details. Applicants to grades K-4 will complete an in-house assessment, which may include a DRA (diagnostic reading assessment, writing prompt, and/or math assessment).
