TRANSPORTATION

We are pleased to offer safe, convenient, and reliable bus transportation for Kindergarten through Grade 8 families who find it beneficial.

Connecticut families who elect to use this service are charged annual bus transportation fees. The Town of Ridgefield subsidizes a portion of the cost for Ridgefield residents. New York provides this service at no extra charge for New York residents who reside within 15 miles of the school.

Safety and Reliability
Ridgefield Academy contracts with First Student. First Student buses operate under stringent safety protocols and their drivers must meet extensive safety and training requirements.

Convenience
The service offers flexibility so your child can use the bus for round trips and/or as a one-way service. Depending on the location, it is sometimes possible to pick up at one location and drop off at another.

Locations
In recent years, the school has offered routes that picked up students in towns such as Danbury, New Canaan, North Stamford, Norwalk, Redding, Ridgefield, Weston, Westport, and Wilton.

Cost
When considering the cost, you may want to factor in your ability to recoup an hour of your day while your child chats with friends or has some quiet down-time on the bus ride!
