We are happy to offer bus transportation for Kindergarten through Grade 8 families who find it beneficial. Connecticut families who elect to use bus service for transport to and/or from school are charged bus transportation fees. (The Town of Ridgefield subsidizes a portion of the cost for Ridgefield residents.) New York provides this service at no extra charge for New York residents who reside within 15 miles of the school.

New York Busing

New York State Education Law provides transportation to non-public schools for residents living within 15 miles of their school. Each year, families are required to make a written request for busing to be filed with the district in which they reside. To be eligible for transportation, students must be five years of age on or before December 1st of the year in which they are requesting transportation services.

Bedford/Pound Ridge: 914.241.6174

We encourage you to arrange for busing as soon as possible, as some districts have an early deadline (typically early April) for the registration of non-public school students (NY).

All questions about bus transportation should be directed to Larry Curry, Security Manager & Transportation Coordinator by email at, or by phone at 203.894.1800 x123

Bus transportation fees will appear on student accounts in the fall, and are payable upon receipt. You will be notified by SmartTuition when your bus transportation fee has been applied to your account.
