TURNER SCHOLARSHIP
A Legacy of Service
In honor of Ridgefield Academy’s founding Chairman, Howard Turner, the school established the Turner Scholarship in 2016 to recognize students who embody RA’s mission to develop both intellect and character. Mr. Turner’s decades of leadership were defined by his commitment to academic innovation, personal growth, and the holistic development of young people.
The Turner Scholarship is a merit-based award of $10,000, offered annually to a select number of new students entering Grades 4-6. It is designed for students who are eager for academic challenge and who seek broad opportunities both in and beyond the classroom.
Candidates for the Ridgefield Academy Turner Scholarship are dedicated students who demonstrate academic achievement, currently participate in activities outside of the classroom and show evidence of good character and citizenship. A candidate should also demonstrate potential to contribute to Ridgefield Academy’s artistic, athletic and service learning programs.
