Getting Involved At Ridgefield Academy

Ridgefield Academy is very excited that you and your family joined this community! Getting involved is the best way for new families to become more familiar with the school. Below is a short guide to help those interested in participating on campus.

Parent Ambassadors: Most families come to RA because they have heard about our school from another parent. Parent Ambassadors are instrumental in expanding the reach of our school in the community and growing enrollment. There are many ways to support the school in this area! We encourage our families to share stories of their child/ren's experience in conversations and through social media so that others can learn about our exceptional program and community. Be sure to follow our social media accounts and share our posts on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube. Parent reviews on Niche, Great Schools, and Private School Review are another helpful way to share your experiences with others.

RAPA: Every parent/guardian is member of Ridgefield Academy’s Parent Association (RAPA). RAPA Board creates opportunities for parents/guardians to meet on a social level and build community. Events like Fall Family Day, Teacher Appreciation Day, and the highly anticipated annual Gala are just three examples of the work RAPA does to encourage relationships between our parents/guardians. Interested in learning more? Please contact Jackie Fennell, Development Associate and RAPA Liaison.

Admission Ambassador: Every family at RA has gone through the Admission process. School searching can be an exciting and stressful time for parents/guardians. Admission Ambassadors will help incoming families navigate the school, share their experience as a new family, and are a presence during Open Houses. Interested in learning more? Please contact Director of Enrollment Dave Suter at dsuter@ridgefieldacademy.org or 203-894-1800 x 112.

Class Captain: Each year, a team of volunteers assist the Advancement Department in increasing parent/guardian participation in the Annual Fund. RA appeals to our current families, past families, trustees, grandparents, and alumni to give a meaningful gift to the Annual Fund. Our volunteers support the Annual Fund, encourage participation, and provide insight for families who are still learning the importance of philanthropic contributions. Interested in learning more? Please contact Development Officer Janine Karbo by email, or phone at 203-894-1800 x128.
