Summer Program Policies

While there are still some uncertainties surrounding how the summer will unfold due to the pandemic, we remain optimistic. Our goal is to conduct a full six-week summer program on campus and plan to be outside often so that children can explore and enjoy outdoor activities with their friends.
A $25 registration fee along with 25% of your total program charges are due at the time of registration. These charges are nonrefundable. If you are registering on or before April 1, the $25 registration fee will be waived and you will only be charged 25% of your total program charges. Prior to camp, an invoice reflecting the balance of your camp fees will be sent to you and must be paid on or before May 1, 2021. Registrations received after May 1, will require payment in full upon registration.

COVID Guidelines:
We will follow the guidelines of the Office of Early Childhood Youth Camp Licensing and the recommendations of the State of CT Department of Health. Cohorts will be designed to manage and limit possible exposure while maximizing our ability to contact trace and stay safe. All rooms will be cleaned and disinfected before another cohort visits the same space. Please note that attendees differ from week to week and therefore cohort groupings will also change from week to week. Recommendations for face coverings and social distancing will be followed.

Remote Programming:
Ridgefield Academy/Landmark Preschool, reserves the right to cancel any program, modify program content, adjust the daily schedule, and transition any weekly summer offering to remote learning in order to protect the health and safety of those enrolled.

With the exception of Camp Landmark, please note that no refunds will be given if a transition to remote learning occurs. Specific program details are below.

Camp Landmark 2s and 3s/4s Programs:
Remote programming will not be offered to preschool campers. If Camp Landmark programs are canceled for health and safety reasons, a prorated or full refund will be given for both Camp and Extended Care based on the number of days your child attended.

Patriot Camp/Explorer Programs:
If health concerns arise, Patriot Camp and Explorer Programs will move to remote programming (unless otherwise noted in the specific session description). Programs not transitioning to remote learning will be canceled and a prorated or full refund will be given based on the number of days your child attended. For those programs transitioning to remote learning, parents will be contacted via email with instructions. Please note that parents might be asked to purchase or pick up supplies from campus as well as provide adult assistance or supervision with certain program activities.

Refunds and Withdrawals
Refunds will only be be granted if a child is out sick for 3 or more days and submits a note from a physician. Refunds are pro-rated for the portion of the program your child has attended.
If you find you must withdraw your child before the start of camp season, RA has the following refund policy:
