About Ridgefield Academy/Landmark Preschool
Ridgefield Academy is an independent day school in Ridgefield, CT with students in Kindergarten through Grade 8. Our Landmark Preschools have programs for children ages one - five at our Ridgefield, Westport, and Bedford, NY locations.

Summer Program Instructor (Ridgefield)

Ridgefield Academy/Landmark Preschool seeks dedicated and energetic instructors to lead an engaging, safe, and fun program for our summer campers. We offer several programs for children from Preschool to Grade 8. With each program week focusing on a different theme, you are given the space to share your enthusiasm and creativity to provide a memorable and formative experience for every child!

Position Details:

Summer Camp Instructor (Ridgefield Campus)
Hours: Monday- Friday 8:45 AM - 3:45 PM
Dates: June 20, 2023 - July 28, 2023 (No camp July 4)

Responsibilities Include:

In this position, you will lead and participate in all camp activities while providing a fun and safe environment for all campers.
You will communicate with parents to inform them of the camper's experience and collaborate with the Auxiliary Program Director to ensure programming aligns with Ridgefield Academy’s mission and program expectations.
The ideal candidate must have previous experience caring for children in Preschool - 8th grade and demonstrate strong leadership and communication. We are looking for flexible and creative instructors who can jump in and work with autonomy.

PS Summer Program Instructor (Ridgefield)

Spend the summer with us! Ridgefield Academy/Landmark Preschool seeks enthusiastic Preschool Summer Teachers on the Ridgefield campus. This seasonal position will lead an engaging, safe, and fun program for our summer campers! In this role you will supervise and guide students through indoor and outdoor group activities, creating joyful learning experiences that are safe, fun, and engaging.

The ideal candidate must have previous experience caring for children in Preschool, and demonstrate strong leadership and communication. We are looking for flexible, creative teachers who can jump in and work with autonomy.

Responsibilities Include:

Assist and participate in all Camp Landmark activities
Provide safety and well-being of children by offering clear communication and instruction
Engage with each child and maintain a fun learning environment for campers to thrive
Communicate regularly with parents about the child's experience in camp
Collaborate with the Auxiliary Program Director to ensure programming aligns with Ridgefield Academy’s mission and program expectations

Position Details:

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:45 AM - 2:15 PM

Dates: June 20 - July 28, 2023
Camp Weeks: June 20-23 | June 26-30 | July 3-7 | July 10-14 | July 17-21 | July 24-28
This position is seasonal and paid hourly at a competitive rate.

PS Summer Program Instructor (Bedford)

Landmark Preschool - Bedford is seeking enthusiastic Preschool Summer Teachers to lead classrooms through joyful learning and play this summer! This seasonal position will lead an engaging, safe, and fun program for our summer campers! In this role you will supervise and guide students through indoor and outdoor group activities, creating learning experiences that are safe, interactive, and engaging.

The ideal candidate must have at least 3 years of previous experience caring for children. Experience teaching in a preschool or daycare setting is a plus. You must be able to demonstrate strong leadership, thoughtful and effective communication skills and self motivation . We are looking for flexible, creative teachers who can jump in and work with autonomy.

Responsibilities Include:

Assist and participate in all Camp Landmark activities
Provide for the safety and well-being of children by offering clear communication and instruction
Engage with each child and maintain a fun learning environment for campers to thrive
Communicate with parents about the child's experience in camp as needed
Collaborate with the Preschool Director regarding the camp program day-to-day activities
Ensure that programming aligns with the Landmark Preschool mission and program expectations
Abide by Landmark Preschool’s policies, procedures and rules

Position Details:

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:45 AM - 12:15 PM
Dates: June 20, 2023 - August 4, 2023; No camp July 3-7
Summer Weeks: June 20-23 | June 26-30 | July 10-14 | July 17-21 | July 24-28 | July 31-August 4
This position is seasonal, the pay rate will be $17-$22/hour based on experience.

This seasonal position will lead an engaging, safe, and fun program for our summer campers! In this role you will supervise and guide students through indoor and outdoor group activities, creating learning experiences that are safe, interactive, and engaging.

The ideal candidate must have at least 3 years of previous experience caring for children. Experience teaching in a preschool or daycare setting is a plus. You must be able to demonstrate strong leadership, thoughtful and effective communication skills and self motivation . We are looking for flexible, creative teachers who can jump in and work with autonomy.

Provide for the safety and well-being of children by offering clear communication and instruction
Engage with each child and maintain a fun learning environment for campers to thrive
Communicate with parents about the child's experience in camp as needed
Collaborate with the Preschool Director regarding the camp program day-to-day activities
Ensure that programming aligns with the Landmark Preschool mission and program expectations
Abide by Landmark Preschool’s policies, procedures and rules

Position Details:

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM
Dates: June 20, 2023 - July 21, 2023
Summer Weeks: June 20-23 | June 26-30 | July 5-7 | July 10-14 | July 17-21
This position is seasonal, the pay rate will be $17-$22/hour based on experience.
