Students who enjoy creative expression through art will be encouraged to experiment using a variety of mediums and techniques to make artistic masterpieces during the Art Adventure/Survivor Camp week. Classes will be grouped by grade level:
Artsy Animals (K & Grade 1)
Campers entering Kindergarten and Grade 1 in the fall, will spend this week creating colorful animals! They will spend four days painting, collaging, and sculpting animals from around the world. Each day will focus on a different group of animals including arctic animals, ocean creatures, desert dwellers, and jungle animals. Campers will create four individual projects to bring home with them at the end of this creative week.
Spectacular Sculptures (Grades 2 & 3)
Get ready to create colorful sculptures! Throughout this week, campers entering Grades 2 - 3 in the fall, will use plaster of paris, wire, cardboard, and other surprising materials to create a variety of three-dimensional sculptures including piñatas and lanterns. Campers will create four individual projects to bring home with them at the end of the week.
Survivor Camp (Second Half of Each Day)
The second half of each camp day will offer endless activities at Survivor Camp! During this week, campers will work together in teams and challenge each other to become the ultimate Survivor Champions. Activities such as Capture the Medallion, Rhinoball, Pirate Ship, and Hide and Go Seek are just a few of the games that campers will participate in during the week. An exciting obstacle course and RA’s famous ice cream eating contest will be part of the fun as well! Each day will be packed with surprises that will test one’s physical and mental skills.
