Web Programming Camp

Ridgefield Academy is excited to host a two-week programming course run by Upperline Code, August 13-24 (Monday through Friday). This all-day course is suitable for ages 11-14.

Ruby, a powerful and easy-to-learn language that is one of the most in-demand languages in the field and has powered some of the biggest sites on the internet, including Hulu, Kickstarter, Twitter, and AirBnB. In addition to core Ruby functionality, students will build upon basic front-end development using HTML and CSS, and web integration with the Sinatra Framework. By the end of the class, students will have built their own functional web applications and have mastered the skills necessary to enter a college-level computer science course.
