Ridgefield Academy | Landmark Preschool (RA|LP) seeks a dedicated and proactive Marketing & Advancement Associate to join the Advancement Team. The RA|LP Advancement Office is a dynamic and collaborative group that supports the entire school community with marketing, communications, and fundraising expertise. As a key member of this five-person team, the Marketing & Advancement Associate will provide critical support in the day-to-day operations of a highly efficient communications and fundraising office. This includes managing data and offering administrative assistance, while gaining hands-on experience in marketing and communications. This position is ideal for someone looking to grow professionally in these areas, especially in marketing, communications, or non-profit fundraising. The Marketing & Advancement Associate reports directly to the Marketing & Digital Content Manager, with additional guidance from fellow Advancement team members.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing & Communications (50%)

• Contribute to the Marketing & Communications content calendar by capturing and creating coverage of school events and activities for broad distribution.
• Collaborate with the Marketing & Digital Content Manager on content suggestions and photo support for the weekly school newsletter, including vetting and compiling the photo album. (Opportunity to assume full ownership of this project in the 2025-2026 school year.)
• Assist with photography needs, including images for the yearbook, the annual “Year of Photos” project, and general school events.
• Design and produce admissions and program flyers, front-of-school banners, and other campus signage.
• Provide weekly updates for campus display monitors.
• Manage event postings on both internal and external calendars.
• Ensure all new admissions inquiries are added to regular email “drip” campaigns.
• Organize and tag photo content to keep the school’s Smugmug account up to date.
• Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Development & Volunteer Support (30%)

• Enter gifts into the database accurately and generate gift receipts.
• Manage the acknowledgment process for the Development team and the Head of School.
• Maintain database accuracy by regularly updating constituent records and email lists.
• Assist with the coordination of Advancement team email campaigns, including preparing and sending messages.
• Support the Development Officer by providing assistance for volunteer committee meetings (e.g., submitting event forms, creating nametags, and printing materials).
• Assist with event setup, execution, and breakdown as needed.

General Office Support (20%)

• Perform administrative tasks such as filing, creating spreadsheets, querying and exporting data, and generating reports.
• Monitor phones and manage office supplies.
• Ensure confidentiality in all matters.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Ideal Candidate

• Interested in developing skills in marketing, communications, and/or fundraising.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Previous experience working in a team-oriented office environment strongly preferred.
• Excellent organizational abilities with the capacity to multitask, prioritize effectively, and meet competing deadlines.
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in email, phone, and written correspondence.
• Collaborative mindset and commitment to being an effective team member.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Mac operating systems required; familiarity with Veracross or similar database systems a plus.
• Demonstrated interest in photography, videography, and/or social media; experience with content creation and design tools (e.g., Canva) preferred.

This is a full-time, salaried position with benefits. The salary will be commensurate with experience, ranging from $50,000 to $58,000. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. Flexibility may be requested, with advance notice, for evening events or special projects.

• Enrolled in a college program, preferably in Marketing, English, or a related field

• Proficiency in Google Drive and Microsoft Office Suite; social media, photography, and video editing skills a plus
